The removal of the layshaft allows greater lubrication to the front of the laygear where most of the Type 9 problems occur. Tuners like Turbo Technics and Caterham used this format on their V6 gearboxes that were coupled to power upgrades. Ive never seen it done other than my own conversions!
In a 4 cylinder/short input shaft gearbox. The main casing has been powder coated in satin black, the tail housing and sandwich plate have been powder coated in metallic silver and all the bolts and covers have been electroplated. You will need to modify a bell housing to accommodate the stub axle, simple cutout at the bottom. No speedo drive and/or cover/blank is included, let me know if you need one and Ill see what I have available.THE GEARBOX REQUIRES OIL TO BE ADDED (NOT SUPPLIED). This should be 75w90 Semi Synthetic to GL4 specification. Other modified/spec gearboxes are available, message with your requests.
